All participants decide on an object that they would like to present in the online auction in advance. This will be put into a catalogue, which will be sent to everyone by the BITOU team before the team event. During the auction, “neutral” bids are initially given – then the owner tells you the story behind the object. What life did the old teddy lead before he turned into a dust collector? Why has the white and blue vase lasted for decades in the living room, despite the cracks? The more touching the stories, the higher the price of the object is raised.
Is there real money involved?
A fictitious currency can be used – or also real money, which can then be donated to a charitable cause afterwards for example.
How does the technology work?
The participants connect through meeting software that is ideally already used in the company. We will test it beforehand, so that everyone can take part without problems.
During the team event, our trainers are available in a specially created support channel to quickly answer any possible questions.
What if I have nothing to tell?
Everyone has a story to tell! The experienced team trainers at BITOU make sure to pose careful and direct questions so that every story is “well rounded” and the person behind the presented object is visible.
What do we as a team get out of it?
At the team event “Online Auction“ colleagues and managers find out a lot about the values, motives and needs of each individual. The deliberate emotional analysis with the team will have lasting effects and improve understanding of each other. It is especially important when a team works together predominantly virtually.
