Together against the hacker – The story
A hacking attack by the book! Your IT system is down and all of the data is encrypted. But luckily, the hacker wasn’t careful and has left tracks behind. Which team will manage to activate the server of the company again in the given time and to rescue all of the data? The speciality of the 3D version of “Beat the Hacker”: the team begins in an office environment which looks real, fully equipped with EDV equipment.
On the three floors of the 3D office building, the virtual team has to master various tasks in order to unlock new rooms and to get the IT system going again. Move freely in the three dimentional office complex and solve puzzles in cooperation with your colleagues, whose tips are spread around in different rooms.
For a sustainable, virtual team experience, feedback is an important component. This is why you can split “Beat the Hacker” into two sessions in order to optimally plan in a feedback round. The newly gained knowledge about the cooperation of the colleagues allows you to see the tasks in the second session in a different light. This is useful for every day working life!
How “Beat the Hacker” welds together virtual teams.
The aim of the 3D simulation “Beat the Hacker” is to stengthen the teams in digital collaboration and to make the digital communication quicker, more effective and more precise.
With “Beat the Hacker,” the team’s ability to cooperate and communicate is put to the test. Only together will you be able to solve the tasks. An ideal team experience for colleagues that would like to get to know each other better and to experience their cooperation. The takeaway? Clear, precise communication and the use of different online tools lead to more success!
“Beat the Hacker” is set up in such a way that about 70% of all teams reach the aim at 100% in the given time. The team performance will be measured in comparision with other teams in order to enable conclusions on the whole team performance and the digital collaboration in the virtual team.
- Reflection and optimisation of team collaboration
- Roles in the team should be clearer
- Team doesn’t work effectively
- The digital collaboration should be improved
“Beat the Hacker” 3D consists of two sequences which can be carried out by virtual teams continuously or individually. The difficulty increases from the first to the second sequence.
“We very much appreciate the flexibility and openness of BITOU. Adaptations and changes are also possible at short notice. Above all, the team communication was an important factor for our customers at the event – to playfully work on the team.”
