Crime Time team event – the backstory

For many decades Hubert Schmidt has run a mountain and hiking hut in the Black Forest on Feldberg. The hut is still known as a cosy stop and for its simple and cheap accommodation. The hut is above all very popular in winter, when there is a lot of snow outside and the days are shorter. But what happened on the last day when there was strong snowfall shook the whole mountain community: Hubert Schmidt mysteriously died. Who was the murderer?

How the story develops…

At the Winter Crime Time team event, a story develops throughout the evening. It results from many small anecdotes that the team has to puzzle together. And not just in any old way, but with a plan: each player embodies a certain character from the story. And each character is represented multiple times – but he/she only knows part of what happened.

In two rounds, all of the colleagues firstly meet together who embody the same character – and then everyone who knows what happened in the same time period of the story.

In this way, a whole is made out of the many puzzle pieces. The murderer will be revealed.

Exchanges and communication in the team

The wintery Crime Time is appropriate for so-called “team bonding”. The early phase of team building is meant by this, when the colleagues are still getting to know each other. It’s important at this stage to get into conversation with each other. This happens well in a relaxed atmosphere and with a joint goal. Like at the Winter Crime Time.

All necessary materials and information will be provided on time by the BITOU project leaders and the presenters. We will happily help you with the search for an appropriate location for your team event. We can also happily advise you on further programme items of your wintery team event.
